Accurate milk reception and accounting with truck scales
A dairy processing company approached us with a clear problem: raw milk was being received through inaccurate meters. This resulted in accounting discrepancies, and with it, risks to both finances and relationships with milk suppliers. When receipt data is not accurate, it is difficult to ensure transparent billing and a stable process. The client needed a reliable way to accurately record the actual amount of milk received.
We have installed truck scales at the milk unloading station, which ensure accurate weighing of milk. From now on, milk is accounted for by weight, so the customer can be completely sure of the correct accounting of the raw material. The same scales are also used to control the exported products - for example, when weighing the exported cream or other products. This way, the customer has one accurate, reliable control point for all flows.
To make the weighing process fast and convenient for everyday work, we have installed the KEMEK SCALE EXPERT DT1000 self-service terminal. The operator easily performs full and empty truck weighings at the terminal, selecting the necessary information: milk supplier, raw material type and other parameters. All weighing information is automatically transmitted to the responsible masters - all results, reports and weighing history are visible on their computers. In addition, the system is integrated with the client's accounting program, so the data is immediately used for settlements without manual work.
The biggest challenge of the project was the installation in one day, so as not to disrupt the milk receiving process. Our engineering team managed to install everything on time, so the client could continue working without interruption, and the result was felt immediately: accurate accounting, transparency for suppliers and a faster receiving process
